Guest Lecture by dr. Pawel Pomianowski
PUMS Alumni Association would like to invite students, faculty and other interested persons to a guest lecture by our alumnus, dr. Pawel Pomianowski. The open lecture on “Genetics and Genomics in Clinical Medicine” will be presented in English on Thursday, September 9 at 5pm in room 2008 in Medical Biology Center (1st Floor, 8 Rokietnicka St.)
Dr. Pomianowski graduated from PUMS English-language medical class of 1998 and proceeded to complete his residency in internal medicine at Penn State College of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in medical genetics at Yale University School of Medicine. He currently holds the position of Director for the Center of Medical Genetics and Genomics at Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute of ChristianaCare in Delaware, USA.
Our guest has more than 12 years of clinical practice experience in the areas of medical genetics and internal medicine in clinic, hospital, and practice settings. He has also contributed to research publications in the areas of genetics and genomics. He is a member of the American College of Genetics and Genomics, New York Academy of Sciences and American College of Physicians.
