University Senate Against the War
An exceptionally difficult geopolitical situation that has not left our community indifferent also influenced the proceedings of the University's Senate on March 23rd, 2022.
On the University's authorities' initiative, the senators passed a resolution on immediate resignation of cooperation and prompt termination of contracts with universities and academic institutions from the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.
According to Regulation no. 25/2022, the Senate of Poznan University of Medical Sciences strongly condemns Russian military aggression in Ukraine and, in the spirit of solidarity with Ukrainians, recommends the Rector immediate termination of contracts with the following institutions/universities:
1. Federal State Budgetary Institution "Research Centre for Medical Genetics" (Moscow);
2. Siberian State Medical University (Tomsk);
3. Belarusian State Medical University (Minsk);
4. Vitebsk State Medical University;
5. Grodno State Medical University.
At the same time, the University's Senate assures the support and help for scientists and members of the Russian and Belarussian academic communities who stand against the aggression.
