Trauma Surgery Symposium
We are thrilled to invite students, faculty and medical staff from PUMS to a mini-conference on trauma surgey with experienced surgeon guest speakers affiliated with the Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, CA, USA.
The event will take place in room C of PUMS Main Library building (Library-Congress Center) at 37a Przybyszewskiego St. on April 5, 2023 at 10am to 3pm.

Aaron Marcos Strumwasser, M.D., M.S., F.A.C.S. - Chair at the Department of Surgery, Trauma Medical Director and Director of Trauma-SICU at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, CA, as well as attending surgeon in several other hospitals. Surgery faculty at Keck School of Medicine, USC. Rich hospital experience in surgery and trauma, has held a number of administrative positions in surgery programs, consultant, lecturer, with a wealth of research publications.
Hector Danie Ludi, M.D., F.A.C.S. - Vice Chair Surgery Department and General Surgery Residency Committee Member at the Riverside University Health System, experienced surgeon, popular academic lecturer distinguished with multiple teaching and surgery awards.
Bryan Edgar Love, M.D. - Director of Acute Care Surgery, Assistant Trauma Medical Director and Vice Chair of Department of Surgery at St. Francis Medical Center in California. Chief Medical Officer at Desert Trauma Surgeons, popular speaker and educator, academic faculty at LAC+USC Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Paul John Wisniewski, D.O. – Trauma Director and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Director at the Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, CA; attending surgeon in several other hospitals in California, faculty member at Loma Linda University Medical Center, University of Central Florida School of Health Sciences and Uniformed School of Health Sciences; decorated Navy Officer with combat experience; authored a number of research publications and teaching materials.
